They aren't: the cycles are of pay, and they verify different concepts depending on the time of the academic year.

According to the entity's 2026 schedule, cycle 1 addresses enrollment issues from the previous year's second semester; cycle 2 verifies retention and academic excellence for that semester; cycle 3 handles enrollment for the current first semester; cycle 4 addresses those issues; cycle 5 verifies retention and academic excellence for the first semester; and cycle 6 handles enrollment for the second semester, which for SENA apprentices corresponds to August and September. How much does Renta Joven pay in 2026 and how often?

The amount is not fixed: it depends on where you are studying and what conditions are verified. These are the incentives that Prosperidad Social publishes in the form of monetary transfer of the program.

The money arrives in two ways. If you have a financial product in your name—a savings account, checking account, or digital wallet, active and without any limits blocking the deposit—the payment is made by direct transfer. Otherwise, it's paid by money order: for the 2026 period, the entity contracted the disbursement service under contract 780-FIP-2026, and since cycle 1, the money order operators are SuRed, SuperGIROS, and their partner network. Any figures you see on social media should be considered estimates and confirmed through the official channel.

What can I do today if I'm already in the program?

Here is the real work of these months, and this is where the entity is focusing its efforts while there is no call for applications: the new features. This is the process by which a participant corrects or updates their information, and it is their responsibility to do so within the dates set by the program. If this is neglected, the verification will fail and the transfer will not be processed, even if the young person is studying and fulfilling their requirements.

The portal is used to manage the updating of residence and contact information, the correction of identification data, the uploading of the diploma for those who were suspended due to the high school requirement, the correction of a suspension due to socioeconomic conditions, the postponement of training —only once, up to one calendar year—, the change of program within the same level and voluntary withdrawal, which is definitive and does not allow re-entry.

What do I do if I was rejected or don't appear as a beneficiary?

Your absence from the program doesn't always mean you're not fulfilling the requirements: often it's simply a registration that the institution failed to report on time or an error in your identification information. There's a reason that surprises many families: suspension due to improved socioeconomic conditions. This is triggered when cross-referencing with official databases indicates that the household no longer meets the vulnerability criteria. And there's an exit rule that almost no one knows: the support program only covers the educational level you entered with. So, if you enrolled as a technician or technologist, it ends upon completion of that training.
